The other day someone asked if I was a content creator.

I almost responded, "I'm trying to be."

Then I caught myself.

"Try" is a dangerous word.

It gives you an escape route.

It protects your ego from commitment because if things don't work out, you can always say you were only trying.

The truth is that growth begins when you stop identifying with where you are and start identifying with where you're going.

I don't have millions of followers yet.

I haven't built everything I want to build yet.

But I am a creator.

I am building.

I am becoming.

The same principle applies to fitness, business, faith, and leadership.

Stop waiting for the results before claiming the identity.
